ANZAC Memorial, Sydney

Summary

The ANZAC Memorial in Sydney is a significant architectural and cultural landmark, and at FPOV, we understand the importance of respecting its history and symbolic stature. We carefully crafted a lighting scheme that enhances the Memorial’s architecture and highlights its sandstone material with warm white colour temperatures.

The lower podium’s geometry is emphasised with a discrete high-output linear LED, concealed in the shadow detail along the building’s perimeter, providing a visual base and acting as a plinth for the Memorial Building. To accentuate the form and reveal the detail of each sculpture around the perimeter and corners, super narrow beam spotlights are mounted remotely on poles.

With our lighting design, we aimed to pay tribute to the ANZAC Memorial’s significance and create a solemn and respectful atmosphere for visitors to reflect on the memory of those who served and sacrificed for their country.
