The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) is a new addition to Melbourne’s Biomedical Precinct, dedicated to cancer treatment, research, and education. Architects McBride Charles Ryan envisioned the VCCC as a representation of collaboration between world-renowned cancer organisations. We were brought in to highlight the distinct architectural forms and finishes of the building and to create moments of interaction at a human scale within the project. Our lighting design also enhances pathfinding throughout the space and downplays the clinical aspect of the building. The result is a thoughtfully crafted design that integrates seamlessly with the building’s architecture and enhances the experience of patients, staff, and visitors.
