The Great Northern Hotel is a striking Grade II listed Victorian building in London, designed by renowned architect Lewis Cubitt in 1854. As part of the Kings Cross redevelopment, it was one of the initial pieces completed for the regeneration of the area, and at FPOV, we were fortunate to be challenged with enhancing the style and glamour of the first railway age with our dramatic use of decorative lighting.
Our team used lighting to emphasise the building’s architectural features and unusual shape, enhancing its stature in its context. The differences in approach between the Plum + Spilt milk and the GNR bar evoke spaces of yesteryear yet with a contemporary feel, adding to the hotel’s charm and allure.
FPOV is proud of the work we did to enhance the Great Northern Hotel’s beauty and elegance. Our team’s expertise and attention to detail ensured that every aspect of the lighting scheme met our exacting standards, resulting in a unique and unforgettable experience for all who visit. If you visit The Great Northern Hotel, you will be immersed into a world of timeless luxury and glamour.
