Hobart Ferry Terminal, Tasmania

Summary

The Brooke Street Pier in Hobart, Tasmania is a unique floating pavilion that celebrates the area’s rich maritime history and serves as a hub for tourism and community activity. We are proud to be the lighting designer on this project, which sought to create upgraded user experiences and future-proof the structure against changing climate conditions. To achieve a complete glowing effect across the structure, we incorporated surface-mounted linear LED grazer fittings along the ground/boarding level, the ceiling of the ticketing level, and at axis points along the roof. The result is a stunning visual display that highlights the pier’s unique design and encourages both daytime and nighttime use. The Hobart Ferry Terminal is a shining example of our commitment to innovative and sustainable lighting design that enhances the built environment and enriches the user experience.
